Decals and Stickers need to be very close together!
Decals and stickers are convenient and inexpensive, therefore many people use these to try to prevent birds from flying into their windows. To have the best chance of preventing birds from hitting your windows, any decal or marker that is attached to the glass should not leave any glass area that is greater than 2 inches. That would mean a lot of decals or markers on your window!
Any kind of window film markers which are applied to glass need to be no farther than 2 inches apart to work well, but such is not the case with Acopian BirdSavers. BirdSavers, which are three-dimensional and are not attached to the glass, use 4 inch spacing and work as well (and maybe even better) than window markers spaced at 2 inches.
All of the pictures below show decals or stickers on windows, but to be truly effective many more decals or stickers would need to be added to all the windows in these photos. In the photo above, the decals/stickers are too far apart to adequately protect birds.
